What I Can Help With
I specialise in supporting people through specific challenges. Each person's experience is unique, but here are areas where I have particular training and experience:
Anxiety & Overthinking Support
Racing thoughts, constant worry, that sense of dread that won't quiet. We'll work together to understand your anxiety and find ways to manage it that actually fit your life.

Finding the right counsellor can feel overwhelming. You want someone who listens without judgment and helps you understand yourself better. I work in ways that are tailored to you, grounded in evidence and human connection.
- You set the pace. Some days you might want to talk, other days we might just sit with the silence. Both are okay. There's no script here.
- No judgment, ever. Whatever you bring, whatever you've done, however you're coping — I'm here to understand, not to judge.
- Evidence-based, human-centred. My approach is rooted in person-centred therapy, which means I trust that you are the expert on your own experience. I'm here to facilitate your own insights.
- Real tools for real moments. When you're ready, we'll find practical ways to manage the difficult moments — but never before you're ready.
Hi, I'm David
I'm not here to fix you — because you're not broken. I'm here to sit with you in whatever you're experiencing, to really listen, and to help you find your own way back to yourself.
I work from a quiet, comfortable space in Anfield, Liverpool — easily accessible from Walton, Kirkdale, Everton and the wider city. I also offer online sessions if that feels safer or easier for you right now. Street parking is available nearby, and I'm well-served by buses from the city centre.
I've trained specifically in helping people through anxiety, depression, trauma, and the really hard life stuff like bereavement and pregnancy loss. I have particular experience supporting men through grief, including the complex emotions that come with baby loss from a father's perspective. Most importantly, I believe that healing happens when we feel truly heard and accepted. No judgment. No rush. Just a safe space to be exactly where you are.
